Chicago Organizations: The deadline to submit a Letter of Inquiry for the Education program area is December 16, 2011

Beginning November 16th, the Foundation will begin accepting online letters of inquiry (LOIs) from Chicago-based organizations. Organizations or programs interested in submitting an LOI should visit the Program Areas section of this website for detailed guidelines and additional information. LOIs will be accepted until December 16, 2011.

The Foundation welcomes a new Trustee: Dolores Kohl Kaplan

The Mayer & Morris Kaplan Family Foundation welcomes its newest Trustee, Dolores Kohl Kaplan. A former teacher, Dolores has been engaged in philanthropy since 1972 when she formed the Dolores Kohl Education Foundation, with the goal of enhancing children’s learning through the support of exemplary teaching. In 2009, Dolores joined the Kaplan Foundation as a member of its Chicago grantmaking committee, serving alongside her late husband and founding Foundation Trustee, Morris Kaplan.
