The Foundation is required by Federal Law to spend no less than 5% of the market value of its assets in grants and operating expenses. The Mayer & Morris Kaplan Family Foundation has set the floor for payout of grants at 7.5% of assets. The five year average for payout at the Foundation is 8.6%, with payout in excess of this for each of the past three years.AUDITS
